Obtaining a Library card

Library cards are issued immediately to residents of Hicksville School District if you are over the age of 18 with two forms of identification, including proof of residency and one picture ID. Library cards are valid for three years. Those under 18 must have a legal guardian sign their application before they can get a card.

Examples of acceptable identification: PICTURE ID AND ONE (1) OF THE FOLLOWING PROOFS OF RESIDENCE:

  • Alien Registration Card

PROOF OF RESIDENCE

  • Telephone Bill
  • Tax Bill
  • Utility Bill
  • Vehicle Insurance Card
  • NYS Motor Vehicle Registration
  • Youth: School Mail, ID, or Buss Pass
  • Other

  • Check out books, movies, music and more at the library
  • Check out library’s adult and children’s nooks
  • Use the library's computers with Internet
  • Use the library's numerous online research tools from home
  • Download eBooks, eAudiobooks and music through the Nassau Digital Doorway
  • Request books from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan
  • Sign up for programs and classes at the library

Board of Trustees Meeting

The next Board of Trustees meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 20th at 7:00 PM. This meeting will be held at the Administration building located at 120 Second Street.
