The Hicksville Public Library is proud to announce the arrival of Digital Audio Books and eBooks for your enjoyment. You are now able to browse and select from a variety of great titles and download them to your computer, transfer them to a portable device, or burn them onto a CD (when allowed by the publisher) anywhere, anytime. Patrons may check out up to five titles at a time, and at the end of the seven day lending period, the audiobooks and eBooks will expire from the PC and automatically be returned to the digital collection.
To access the Hicksville Public Library digital audiobook and eBook collection you will need:
- A valid Hicksville Public library card in good standing
(You will not be able to use this service if you have any overdue items or if you have any outstanding fines on your account) - Access to the Internet (high-speed connection preferred)
- Free downloadable software that downloads audiobooks and eBooks to your computer.
Please note that digital downloads can be enjoyed at home, at work, or when you travel, but are generally not for use on the computers in your library.
