Wireless internet access is available throughout the entire building. You need a wireless device that is compatible with 802.11b or 802.11g standards.
Wireless users should not display text or graphics that may reasonably be construed as obscene and/or offensive. While WiFi is fast and easy to use, be aware that information passed through the local area network is NOT absolutely secure. The Library cannot assure the safety of your personal data when you use the wireless Internet. It is recommended that WiFi users have up-to-date virus protection and a firewall installed on their computers and wireless devices. Additionally, those who use the WiFi hotspots must abide by the Library Internet policy and are subject to all State and Federal laws.
Wireless users are responsible for knowing how to configure their own equipment. Library staff cannot provide technical support for establishing a connection. There is no guarantee that your equipment will work with the wireless network.
Printing will not be available through the wireless network. If you need to print, save your work to a disk or micro drive, or email the files to yourself. Then logon to a library public access computer and send the documents to the printer. Printing fees will apply.
The wireless Internet is not filtered. Any patron desiring filtered Internet access may use one of the Library computers or purchase filtering software for their own computer.
The wireless Internet is only available during Library hours.
The Library is not responsible for personal equipment that is left unattended.
